Narellan Rural Fire Brigade (RFS)

Volunteer Fire Brigade

The Narellan Rural (Bush) Fire Brigade was (I believe) formed in the early 1950's and was located on Richardson Road next to where the you find the tennis courts. The brigade has a rich history in serving the community and from day one was filled with passionate and professional volunteer fire fire fighters.

The current Narellan Rural Fire Station was officially opened in September 1994 by Councillor Frank Booking Mayor of Camden in the company of MR. P.C. Koperberg AM. BEM. The station was then the Fire Control Centre & Headquarters Fire Station for the city of Camden NSW. Narellan Rural Fire Brigade is made up of male and female volunteer fire fighters. Our member base is made up of locals from the Narellan/Camden area who pride themselves on providing the district with local volunteer fire fighters. The current brigade has a Category 1 Tanker (used in rural fires) as well as a Pumper (used for structural and car fires as well as car accidents) The brigade also has a PC (Personnel Carrier) Toyota Landcruiser. The station also houses the only RFS lighting trailer for the Camden Council area along with an Aviation Support Trailer.
